Plendify is seeking to operate the #1 Business to Business (B2B) marketplace for businesses in Africa. Our mission is to help bring supply and demand together in Africa by providing businesses access to an online portal where they can connect, network, and grow. We are also building an enterprise-grade fintech platform large financial institution to enable them to serve small businesses across Africa.

Your Mission as a Senior Software Engineer Fullstack will be to build world-class technologies, build secure, robust, and scalable products on our platforms.

Responsibility and Duties

• Partner with the CTO to align with company objectives and values to align technology strategy to support business objectives.

• Building front end apps using Html, JavaScript and CSS.

• Create, optimize, and implement efficient processes to enable high-quality product delivery and predictability.

• Confidently resolve escalations that impact the technical and product roadmap within the wider team.

• Development of APIs, web services, microservices.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Knowledge of backend programming languages such as Nodejs, Java, Python and C#.

• Knowledge of Fronted Frameworks React and or Vuejs.

• Architect entire applications including front-end, back-end, and services.

• Comfortable using SQL commands and stored procedures to access relational database back-ends.

• Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis.

• Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. Agile software development, test-driven development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, etc…

• Willingness and ability to own all stages of the development process design, testing, implementation, operational support.

• Experience and ability to write legible, high-quality, resource-efficient, and performant code.

• Superb communication, follow up, take ownership, and are passionate about your work.

• CI/CD with gitlab

Nice to haves

• Previous experience building and/or scaling an enterprise technology company from 0 to >100,000+ users.

• Strong portfolio of previous work.
